How To Get To Rawa Island From Singapore
Bus From Singapore To Rawa Island
The most budget transportation to Mersing will be taking public transport offered by Five Stars Express and WTS coach.
The pickup point of Five Stars Express is at Golden Mile Complex whereas the pickup point of WTS coach is at Singapore Flyer. One way ticket costs SGD $31.50 and SGD $40.00 respectively.
The coach departs very early in the morning, at 6:15 am so that the passengers can catch the ferry to Rawa Island at 11:00 am. It takes 3 hours to arrive safely at Mersing Jetty but it still depends on the traffic condition.
However, as the bus is only available once per day, it is recommended to book the bus ticket online beforehand. The return ticket can also be booked directly.
Pros: Cheapest option
Cons: You need to disembark from the bus at Singapore Woodlands Checkpoint (Singapore Immigration) and queue for 40 minutes to 1 hour. After that, you need to wait for the rest of the bus passengers to be done.
Then, you need to disembark from the bus again at Johor Custom (Malaysia Immigration) and queue another 40 minutes to 1 hour. It’s quite hassled because you also need to bring your luggage down for scanning. This procedure is applied for entering and existing Singapore.
How To Go To Rawa Island From Mersing
1. Ferry From Mersing Jetty To Rawa Island
Rawa Island is a 1-hour ferry ride from Mersing Jetty. The tickets are sold at the sales counter which costs RM35 per ride.
The ferry departs every 1 to 2 hours between 9:30am and 5:30pm, depending on the tidal conditions especially during the Full Moon.
Alternatively, take a 30 minutes boat ride to Rawa Island. Normally, it costs RM35 per way but it depends on the size of traveling group.
There is no fixed departure time but more boats are available during peak season (March-September). Boat transfer can be arranged with any of the Rawa Island resorts package in advance.
The resort offers Rawa full board package includes boat transfer from Mersing Jetty to Rawa Island, accommodation and meals. Just to inform that there is only 2 resort you can choose either Alang’s Rawa Resort or Rawa Island Resort.

The Boating School on the other hand is a more relaxed ride, guests steer down the water path controlling the boat’s speed, although it can’t go very fast so there’s no racing here.
Another ride where guests can steer is at Lego City Airport. Younger guests, three years and above can enjoy this ride and steer the direction of the Lego planes, and be their own pilot.
Other areas worth checking out in this section of the park are Lego Express ride, Lego Rescue Academy. Take a ride aboard the Lego Express, where children and adults alike board for a Lego train ride that routes around the park’s main attractions, plus children above 6 can ride alone by themselves as the ride itself isn’t fast moving making it a great way to see the park attractions without walking.

The miniature buildings are all made of LEGO bricks making it look like a magical world. There are some 70 million plus LEGO bricks used to make these buildings – and this is so amazing to see. For a bit on the background of each iconic landmark, you can join the Miniland guided tour with a Guest Experience Office who will take you to each landmark and share valuable facts and history of each display.

5. Imagination
A large play area with interactive activities, games and rides this section of the park also includes a restaurant, Pizza Mania. There are six attractions in this section designed for children to get creative and build with bricks with Lego or larger Duplo bricks for the smaller adventurer.
Of the attractions, three are rides suitable for small children, however each ride does have a minimum age and height limit, and where the guests do not meet the requirements; a companion or guardian is needed.
For a ride with the whole family, the Observation Deck takes guests to spectacular heights to view the whole of Legoland. The ride is a circular glass pod and turns slowly as it reaches for the top of the tower. For 360 degree views from way up high, guests’ minimum are of 6 years old and 120 cm in height.
To experience a ride with no mechanics involved, try out the Kids Power Tower. Guests will learn about the pulley system which allows guests to pull themselves up and down the ride. Educational and fun even for adults. Guests need to be of 4 years and meet a minimum of 100cm for this ride.
Smaller guests can enjoy an easy moving Duplo train ride, on the Duplo Express which takes guest around Duplo Playtown. The ride is a replica of the larger Lego Express located in Lego City. The ride can accommodate guests of 1 year and above with a minimum of 80cm in height.
For more building and constructing fun, head to the indoor Build & Test area. Fully covered and air conditioned, offers some relief from the outside heat and allows for guest to get creative in building towers from blocks and then testing them on an earthquake platform. Guests can then take part in a competition to see which tower will survive the dreaded earthquake test.
Based on the popular The Lego Movie 4D and series, LEGO Studios is a special screening of the movie in 4D, an immersive movie experience complete with wind, water and fog effects to bring the story and characters to life.
The first screening of the movie was aired in cinemas in 2014, and this 4D movie you’re going to watch in Legoland bring back to the big screen the same characters, but what’s special is that there’s a new villain made for the screening here in Legoland. Only way to find out how the different the story is, is to watch it in Legoland Malaysia.
Showtimes begin from 11:00 daily, and The Lego Movie also has a Mandarin version which airs at 16:00 daily. There are other Lego movies screenings as well, do check with the theater on screening times.

6. Lego Kingdoms
A section of the theme park that’s created to reflect medieval kingdoms and castles, let your imagination run wild with the choice of rides, play areas and activities on offer here. Be a king, warrior or princess for the day, it’s possible in Lego Kingdoms.
This world is all about the medieval times, with dragons castles, kings, knights and princesses were to be found. The atmosphere is filled with traditional music of the era lends to the realistic feel of the land.
There are many play areas here, including The Forestmen’s Hideout where guests can play, run and climb in a castle, for sure they can’t do this in any other castle. There are rides here for smaller knights and princesses and The Royal Joust is for the younger ones only.
A roller coaster, the Dragon’s Apprentice is for the brave and who meet the minimum of 100cm and of four years of age. Guests below the requirements are to be accompanied by a companion of at least 12 years of age. Bigger children and adults can make their way to the larger coaster, The Dragon.Â
It’s one among the most popular rides which will take you right through the LEGO Kingdom Castles. The ride moves at 60 km/hr and will show you the Royal Family dining, the torture chamber of the palace, and the treasure that the dragon is guarding.
After the excitement of the roller coaster, smaller thrill seekers can try out the Royal Joust ride, where they’ll be taken on a Lego horse ride, akin to actually being a real horse ready to battle an opponent and emerge the champion. Junior jousters from 4- 11 years old and above 92cm in height can enjoy this ride.
Merlin’s Challenge ride in this section is another ride suited for smaller warriors and princesses as they’re taken round in a circle spun by no other than the legendary wizard, Merlin. Guests permitted must be of 4 years and above and reach a height of 100cm.
This section includes two restaurants, and King’s Market a shop fit for you and for royalty, to complete your adventure. Make your way to the Castle Stage for short performances, happening twice a day with the second slot occurring at 16:00 daily.

7. Lego Technic
As Lego fans are aware, Technic is the line of Lego bricks that’s suitable for older children and teens, and created to enable creativity to be fused with the basics of engineering such as pulleys and wheels all interconnected into a finished movable structure, resulting more often into robots and vehicles.
In this section, children can discover various play centers which encourages them to build and help unleash their creativity through play workshops. Lego Technic also encompasses a Lego Star Wars Miniland, a Lego Star Wars Outlet, two eateries and a number of rides and attractions all based on Lego Technic build and parts.
Do check out the Lego Academy and the Lego Mindstorms where children can unleash their creativity by building robots, cars, spaceships or buildings and learn about programming for robots and even set the robots to go into battle against one another.
For some family fun, get on the Technic Twister, as you spin around and around in the large Lego pods. You can even control the speed of the pod by turning the wheel in the center of the pods.
For a ride with more splash, head over the Aquazone Wave Racers, where pods sits up to two people and guests can steer their way through the water track as the track carries them around in their pods.
All we have to say it watch out for the water bombs aheas! Ride restrictions are set at age minimum of 6 years old and guests height of at least 100cm.
Not forgetting the rides in this section, a special mention of the ride Project X, a roller coaster suitable for children 120cm and above with those below the requirement to be accompanied by an adult.
This ride will get you hear racing and screaming as it turns and carries you full speed down the track at 18 meters high. Thrill seekers will want to return to this ride for a second go.

Take a journey back in time from the time of the dinosaurs to the Egyptian times in the Land of Adventure, which includes four rides and attractions with one eatery.
Next to Egypt Land is Dino Island, home to an impressive ride which takes you through the land filled with dinosaurs, and one of the wettest rides in the park, so it’s best to get prepared before you board this thrilling log ride.
Back in Egypt Land, you’ll find more activities and games which allow children to get active while solving challenges and even hunting for treasure.

Another ride popular in this section is the Beetle Bounce, named as the ride pull you up up to 15 feet in the air, and brings you down in a series of jagged movements. Your feet will be dangling and you’ll feel the ride might drop at any moment is part of the excitement.
