How To Get To Pulau Tioman 

From Mersing or Tanjung Gemok jetty, you can take a ride from the ferry available to Tioman Island for 1.5 to 2 hours.

2. Pulau Aur

Lying about 80 kilometres east of Mersing, Pulau Aur (also called Aur Island) is part of the Johor Marine Park.

Though it has not been more than a stopover point for local fishermen for many years, the island is now a popular tourist attraction, notably thanks to its offshore pools, coral lagoons and pristine beaches.

1. Singapore to Mersing Jetty by Bus

The islands off Mersing are pretty well connected to Singapore and the road to Mersing Jetty is convenient to reach by taking a bus.

The journey takes between 3.5 to 4 hours to reach Mersing Jetty from Singapore, but be ready to expect longer travelling times especially on weekends and holidays. The clearing in immigration centre at both Singapore and Malaysia will most probably be crowded.

The ticket fare will cost you around SGD$30 to SGD$40. The bus will alight at the Mersing Bus Terminal, a 6-minute walk away from the jetty.

How To Get To Kelong Acheh Mersing Via Penyabong Jetty

Coming from Singapore, cross the Straits to Johor Bahru, then take the Kota Tinggi highway to Mersing and on to Tg Resang. Proceed to Penyabong and head to the jetty which will be at the end of the road. Park your car there and a 7 minute’s boat ride will get you to the resort.

How To Get To Chia Soon Kelong Via Tg. Pengelih Jetty

You can opt to take a taxi to Changi Point Ferry Terminal. From there, you can take a boat to the Tg. Pengelih Jetty for customs and immigration processing and onward to Chia Soon Kelong. Alternatively, you can take the scenic route through Johor Bahru and onward to Tg Pengelih Jetty; a journey of about 80 or so kilometers and thereafter take a boat to Chia Soon Kelong.

 

4. Kukup Kelong

Kukup Kelong is a 100 year old off-shore fishing village. It inhabitants are mostly of Chinese origin as it has been for all these years.

Over time, people came to the Kelong for its fresh and delicious seafood and its off-shore location. Soon people came to spend weekends here and chalets to accommodate them were put up.

How To Get To Kukup Kelong

Use the Johor Causeway to cross into Malaysia from Singapore and onwards to Johor Bahru. From this city, use the Lebuhraya Hubungan Kedua and join the Lebuhraya Pontian after 15 km. Drive on this road for up to where it joins Jalan Kukup. Drive into town and head for the jetty where a boat will take you to the Kelong.

5. Ah Fatt Kelong Fishing

This is one Kelong that is in Penyabong area. There is a rich variety of fish that can be caught at this site. Being a favorite for people who love to fish, it is usually has a sizeable crowd on weekends and public holidays.

The best thing about it is that you will always have a place to fish despite the crowds and that you can hire fishing equipment from the Kelong management if you did not bring your own.

How To Get To Ah Fatt Kelong Via Penyabong Jetty

From Singapore, use the causeway to get to Johor Bahru. From there you take the main road to Mersing to the northeast. From Mersing, drive on to Penyabong Jetty. This city is about 2 hour’s drive from Johor Bahru. From here, it is a 26 kilometer ride to the jetty where you will take a boat to Ah Fatt Kelong.

 

6. Pulau Kelong Sibu

Pulau Sibu island is well known for its beautiful beaches and turquoise coves and bays. It is within a marine park. The corals are breathtaking as is the swimming and snorkeling. Another of Pulau Sibu’s secrets is the Pulau Kelong.

This is a floating village built on wooden stilts. It was originally a fishing village but now most of what you will find there are visitor facilities.

A large play area with interactive activities, games and rides this section of the park also includes a restaurant, Pizza Mania. There are six attractions in this section designed for children to get creative and build with bricks with Lego or larger Duplo bricks for the smaller adventurer. Legoland Malaysia Imagination Entrance Of the attractions, three are rides suitable for small children, however each ride does have a minimum age and height limit, and where the guests do not meet the requirements; a companion or guardian is needed.

For a ride with the whole family, the Observation Deck takes guests to spectacular heights to view the whole of Legoland. The ride is a circular glass pod and turns slowly as it reaches for the top of the tower. For 360 degree views from way up high, guests’ minimum are of 6 years old and 120 cm in height. Legoland Malaysia Imagination (Observation Tower) To experience a ride with no mechanics involved, try out the Kids Power Tower. Guests will learn about the pulley system which allows guests to pull themselves up and down the ride. Educational and fun even for adults. Smaller guests can enjoy an easy moving Duplo train ride, on the Duplo Express which takes guest around Duplo Playtown. The ride is a replica of the larger Lego Express located in Lego City. The ride can accommodate guests of 1 year and above with a minimum of 80cm in height. Legoland Malaysia Imagination (DUPLO Express) For more building and constructing fun, head to the indoor Build & Test area. Fully covered and air conditioned, offers some relief from the outside heat and allows for guest to get creative in building towers from blocks and then testing them on an earthquake platform. Guests can then take part in a competition to see which tower will survive the dreaded earthquake test. Legoland Malaysia Imagination (Build & Test) Based on the popular The Lego Movie 4D and series, LEGO Studios is a special screening of the movie in 4D, an immersive movie experience complete with wind, water and fog effects to bring the story and characters to life. The first screening of the movie was aired in cinemas in 2014, and this 4D movie you’re going to watch in Legoland bring back to the big screen the same characters, but what’s special is that there’s a new villain made for the screening here in Legoland. Only way to find out how the different the story is, is to watch it in Legoland Malaysia.

Showtimes begin from 11:00 daily, and The Lego Movie also has a Mandarin version which airs at 16:00 daily. There are other Lego movies screenings as well, do check with the theater on screening times.

6. Lego Kingdoms

A section of the theme park that’s created to reflect medieval kingdoms and castles, let your imagination run wild with the choice of rides, play areas and activities on offer here. Be a king, warrior or princess for the day, it’s possible in Lego Kingdoms. This world is all about the medieval times, with dragons castles, kings, knights and princesses were to be found. The atmosphere is filled with traditional music of the era lends to the realistic feel of the land. Legoland Malaysia LEGO Kingdoms Entrance There are many play areas here, including The Forestmen’s Hideout where guests can play, run and climb in a castle, for sure they can’t do this in any other castle. There are rides here for smaller knights and princesses and The Royal Joust is for the younger ones only. A roller coaster, the Dragon’s Apprentice is for the brave and who meet the minimum of 100cm and of four years of age. Guests below the requirements are to be accompanied by a companion of at least 12 years of age. Bigger children and adults can make their way to the larger coaster, The Dragon. 

It’s one among the most popular rides which will take you right through the LEGO Kingdom Castles. The ride moves at 60 km/hr and will show you the Royal Family dining, the torture chamber of the palace, and the treasure that the dragon is guarding. After the excitement of the roller coaster, smaller thrill seekers can try out the Royal Joust ride, where they’ll be taken on a Lego horse ride, akin to actually being a real horse ready to battle an opponent and emerge the champion. Junior jousters from 4- 11 years old and above 92cm in height can enjoy this ride. Legoland Malaysia LEGO Kingdoms (Royal Joust) Merlin’s Challenge ride in this section is another ride suited for smaller warriors and princesses as they’re taken round in a circle spun by no other than the legendary wizard, Merlin. As Lego fans are aware, Technic is the line of Lego bricks that’s suitable for older children and teens, and created to enable creativity to be fused with the basics of engineering such as pulleys and wheels all interconnected into a finished movable structure, resulting more often into robots and vehicles. In this section, children can discover various play centers which encourages them to build and help unleash their creativity through play workshops. Lego Technic also encompasses a Lego Star Wars Miniland, a Lego Star Wars Outlet, two eateries and a number of rides and attractions all based on Lego Technic build and parts.
