9. Taman Rekreasi Tasik Y Batu Pahat (莲花湖休闲公园)

At the center of this former mining site and now the recreational park is Tasik Y. Which directly translates to Lake Y.

Once you have passed the second checkpoint and alighted at JB Sentral, you need to head to the train station. Here, you’ll find the JPO1 bus.

This is the second bus on this route and you’ll need to buy a separate ticket for it. It will take you directly to the Johor Premium Outlet. This is the eleventh (and final) stop, so it is hard to miss.

Alternatively, you could take bus from Singapore to JPO via Tuas Second Link. It is a good option for some, but do remember that it is less well travelled than the other route. This means that there aren’t as many buses and they can take longer to arrive.

Step 1: Bus from Singapore to Gelang Patah CIQ 2nd Link Complex – Bus CW3 & CW4

From Singapore Central, you need to head to the Jurong East Bus Interchange. This is right next door to MRT rail station. Find and board either the CW3 or CW4 bus to the Tuas checkpoint. Once again, you’ll be expected to get off twice from the bus and complete an identification check when you get there.

The CW3 starts at 7:10am (weekends from 7:30am) and ends at 11:45pm. It arrives every10-30 minutes.

Step 2: Bus from Gelang Patah CIQ 2nd Link Complex to Johor Premium Outlets (JPO) – Bus JPO2

Once you’ve passed the Second Link Checkpoint, you’ll be set down at Johor CIQ 2nd link. After this, buy a ticket for the JPO2 bus. It costs a round RM6. This will take you directly to the JPO. Interestingly, while this route can be a little fussy, from time to time, many tourists consider it to be the most comfortable and enjoyable.

The JPO2 starts at 8:30am and ends at 5:30pm.

Option 3: Taxi From Singapore To Johor Premium Outlet (JPO)

It is important to point out that only authorised taxi cabs are allowed to take passengers into Malaysia. They must have a special license to be able to do this. So, when planning your journey, make sure that you are aware of the difference and know how to catch a special cab.

You will find the authorised taxis at Ban San Street Taxi Terminal. It is located next door to the Queen Street Bus Terminal. Here, the Singapore and Malaysian Taxis are docked and they can take you to JPO. They are happy to make stop offs and add extra destinations, but there will be additional charges.

Once again, one of the advantages of using a taxi, over a public bus, is the fact that passengers don’t have to get out at Singapore and Malaysia Immigration and Checkpoint. You can just hand your passport to the driver and he’ll give it to the officials.
